Spring Ann Arbor Wedding: Matt & Elizabeth

I saw most of Matt and Elizabeth’s wedding day through the images on my computer screen.

I am on maternity leave now, but I joined Ryan, and Susan (Ryan’s aunt, our friend, and amazing second shooter) for the bride and groom portraits on their wedding day.

Typically, I’ll start these blogs with a phrase, part of a speech, or touching moment I witnessed on the wedding day. While I don’t have that to share, I have a few things that made me smile while looking through their images.

The bright, cheery lilac purple of the bridesmaids’ dresses and bouquets was beautiful next to the navy blue suits.

Matt’s reaction to Elizabeth, his bride, is one of my favorite groom reactions to date.

The gaggle of children bringing flowers down the aisle in lieu of a traditional flower girl was so special to each one of them and truly adorable.

A family-friendly, but scrumptious peanut butter and jelly bar at their reception was definitely a top moment for Ryan.

Lastly, the way that Matt and Elizabeth interacted with each other on their wedding day was so joyful and inspiring.

Matt and Elizabeth,

We are so, so happy for you both. It is so inspiring to watch the way you two love each other. Your love of others, especially children, is also so beautiful. We know that your married life will be transformative and exciting. Thank you for letting us be a small part of your wedding day.

Love,

Sarah & Ryan
